In 1999 when Daniel Mahfood opened the first ClearBra auto paint protection shop in Salt Lake City, Utah, the response was overwhelming. Inquiries flooded in from all across the country. In 2005, after installing over 13,000 auto paint protection systems, ClearBra looked for ways to serve the 25 million people that purchase a new car or truck in the U.S. each year. It teamed up with an experienced franchise company, BaseCamp™ to form ClearBra Franchising.

The BaseCamp team got its start 1992 when it launched the Kid to Kid® concept, an award-winning children’s product franchise that has grown over 57 stores across the U.S. and in Europe. BaseCamp’s purpose is simple—it serves as a foundation or platform on which others may build to reach their goals. It helps aspiring entrepreneurs climb their own mountain. It recognizes that while the goals and abilities of climbers vary, all want to reach the summit and return safely.

In its role as franchisor, BaseCamp has carefully selected a team of specialists with complimentary business skills. Our team members won’t climb “the mountain” for you, but each has been to the top and is committed to guiding you there. They are familiar with the routes, hazards, and treacherous weather conditions you will encounter as you reach for higher goals. With the vision and perspective that come from close communication with climbers at different stages on the mountain, BaseCamp is uniquely qualified to help you reach your goals.
